NEW FAN MADE Boards: Big Board Edition with all official extensions (Tharsis, Hellas, Elysium and *new* Utopia Planitia)
finally it’s done, I am pleased to present you the fanmade Big Board Edition, containing Tharsis, Hellas, Elysium an a new Board called Utopia Planitia with all official extensions.
I wanted to have a board with all official extensions and since the original board broke, I had the idea to create my own.
I have changed the design slightly - for example now the graphics are flatter.

There is only room for seven colonies - but in the rare case (5 player+ Aridor ) that an eighth colony needs to be placed, you can place this colony on the top of the lettering. There is enough space for it. Since we only play with self-printed 3D-tiles, we don't need the space for the oceans. If you have ordered the bigbox like many others, you won't need the space in the future either. 😜
On every map there is a space station under the thermometer. Use it for the setup of the trade fleet.

Milestones
- Specialist - have 3 special tiles
- Pioneer - have 3 colonies
- Trader - have minimum 3 different nonstandard resources
- Metallurgist - minimum 5 of any combined steel and titanium production
- Researcher - have 4 science tags
Awards
- Suburbian - most tiles on the rim of the board
- Investor - most earth tags
- Botanist - most plant production
- Incorporator - most played project cards cheaper or equal to 10MC
- Metropolist - most cities
We tested the board several times and also optimized it. What we like is that the oceans are placed so unfavorably that they annoy us 😉. It is more difficult to find good places for cities and greeneries. This is a deliberate difference to the other boards, which we enjoy.
We have intentionally not added any new features, like other fan maps do. We didn't want to change the original game design because it's just not necessary for us. On Utopia Planitia there are no playable volcano fields, like on Hellas. Therefore the volcano names here are in regular white font, just like the other place names.
Production notes
Print size of the board is:Which file should I use? It depends on how you want to print. If in doubt, please ask your print service.
Files with „…cropmarks_CMYK_ECI.pdf“
For classic offset printing like on cardboard, paper, foil etc.
Keep in mind: the print size of these files is bigger, because of cropmarks and bleed.
Files with „…_RGB.pdf“ and „…_RGB.jpg“
Try it for printing on inkjet or laser printer.
For custom use of Milestones/Awards you can use the additional document „TM-Milestones-Awards_Tableau…“
